PSA: A frozen margarita festival is coming to Auckland
*This is not a drill* A frozen margarita festival, aptly named Margi Gras, is coming to Auckland next Saturday and we are here for it.
Frozen margaritas will be the order of the day at Coops Corner Pub this month. The Viaduct Harbour venue is firing up its slushy machine for Margi Gras, a one-day celebration dedicated to the thirst-quenching combo of tequila, orange liqueur and lime juice. Count us in.
What’s included?
The entry fee of $15 sets you up nicely with eight tasters of Coops’ famous frozen margaritas. If you feel like getting creative, you can top-your-marg at the candy buffet station and snap some Instaworthy snaps for the ‘gram too. Don’t forget to line your stomach though with the best form of sustenance: pizza by the slice. For festival-goers craving something sweet, indulge in a boozy affogato by way of tequila ice-cream. Yes that’s right…tequila-spiked ice-cream.
Set to a backdrop of live beats courtesy of Brotherhood Musiq and Lewis McCullum, this frozen fiesta is guaranteed to be a good time.
