Trend Spotting At Copenhagen Fashion Week

Once again, the fashion girlies of Scandinavia are proving to be quite the contenders in the street style sweepstakes. Following a chock-a-block Copenhagen Fashion Week program for SS25, the streets welcomed droves of the fashion-forward who brought our Pinterest boards to life, one effortlessly chic look at a time.

Among the camera clicks and front rows, it was hard to ignore numerous trends rearing their heads, and of course, in Remix fashion, we’re tipping the below trends as the ones to watch.

Micro Shorts

The teenier the better. After being spotted on the runways of Gucci, Prada and Marc Jacobs earlier this year, micro shorts are making mainstream waves on the streets of Scandinavia. The barely-there peekaboo of micro shorts paired with maximum confidence was a popular choice for many who chose to offset tiny proportions with an oversized jacket - after all, balance is key.

Triangle Scarves

Once reserved for granny’s closet, the triangle scarf welcomes a modern-day revival after being spotted on countless stylish Copenhagen heads this season. Whether tied around baseball caps or fashioned over tousled waves, the verdict is in, pairing with statement shades is simply a must.

Bermuda Shorts

In a stark and surprising contrast to its micro counterpart, plenty of attendees stepped out in knee-grazing Bermuda shorts at CPHFW. This boxier and arguably more comfortable short style was paired with everything from structural blazers to mesh ballets and welcomed an exciting array of textures, including leather, silver foil and denim. After the revival of capris, are longer short styles here to stay?

Sheer Dressing

Clothes: who needs them? Like our Danish sources of style inspiration, we’re ditching a high thread count and opting for delicate sheer fabrics this season. Nearly-naked dressing proved ever-popular on the Scandi streets, whether through head-to-toe dresses (as seen on the OpéraSPORT® runway) or replacing regular cardigans or skirts with a transparent alternative.

Sports Apparel

If there’s one side we’re cheering for this season, it’s that sports apparel styling is here to stay! After switching from the sweaty stands of stadiums to the sleeves of Hailey Bieber, Mia Regan and Dua Lipa, football shirts and sporting tops were also spotted on the streets of CPHFW. Rather than dressing with jeans, the fashion-forward pulled out all the styling stops, pairing sports apparel with kitten heel jandals, designer clutches, dramatic skirts and layers upon layers of contrasting jewellery for an unlikely but undeniably cool combo we will, of course, be replicating here at Remix HQ.
