Inside Tommy Hilfiger’s triumphant return to New York Fashion Week

Tommy Hilfiger signalled his highly-anticipated return to New York Fashion Week earlier this week with a runway show that fused both the past and future, by celebrating pop culture through fashion and dazzling a star-studded audience at Brooklyn’s Skyline Drive-In Theatre.

Debuting their Fall 2022 collection, titled Tommy Factory this season’s spectacle was as impressive as the stars who sat front row. Kris Jenner, Kate Moss, Kourtney Kardashian-Barker, Shawn Mendes and our very own Benee, just to name a few.

Inspired by Andy Warhol’s legacy in creating pop culture and creative expression, this was no ordinary catwalk show. Fusing the worlds of fashion, music, art and entertainment all in one space, this was one of Tommy Hilfiger's most memorable shows to date.

Audiences arrived with the set unintentionally unfinished, inviting them to experience the making of a fashion show with a cast of forward-thinking artists. Jon Batiste embraced the concept and gave an impromptu performance as he walked the carpet.

Models, including household names such as Lila Moss, Winnie Harlow, Alton Mason and Julia Fox took to the ‘H’ shaped catwalk to present the brand’s newest ‘See Now Buy Now’ collections. In true TH style, bold branding and bright colour ways made an appearance in the form of Americana-esk bomber jackets and oversized slouchy t-shirts. Classic camel-toned suits got re-imagined to create stylised office wear and longline puffer jackets in electric blue made an Autumn entrance.

This season also saw a new collaboration between Tommy Hilfiger and the iconic Richard Quinn, reinventing the TH monogram collection which was created in partnership with graphic designer, Fergus Purcell.

The show finished with a bold grand finale as legendary drummer and producer Travis Barker, took to the drums to perform an exclusive track for Tommy Factory.
