See how the Remix team styled Coach’s latest plush bags

Rarely do bags invite you to squeeze them, but maybe it’s because we haven’t crossed paths with the right type of bag. This year, one of the most respected brands have introduced a handbag that will make you want to hug it all day and night.

Coach’s covetable Pillow Tabby, the season’s most chic self-love investment puts a playful spin on their house’s heritage staple, the Tabby Bag. Definitely a refreshing turn from 2020’s WFH attires - all the neutrals and sweats. The campaign reimagines the archival 1970s Coach’s classic design with a more plush, soft Nappa leather update, emphasizing the sensual appeal of the Pillow Tabby.

And while the fun bag itself is all it takes to catch our attention, to showcase the newcomer, Coach collaborator and photographer Juergen Teller perfectly captured the individuality and character of the bag with a cast of Coach stars with custom-made oversized Pillow Tabbies. Jennifer Lopez, Camila Morrone, Binx Walton, Paloma Elsesser and Quincy can all be seen affectionately hugging, squeezing and embracing the giant Pillow Tabbies. Coach has clearly recognised that in 2021 while there are many uncertainties, you can find joy in the simplest of things, even a plump handbag. We are all praying to the fashion Gods that the giant Pillow Tabbies make their way to the stores but in the meantime, the normal sizes will have to do.

"I thought Juergen would be great to photograph this campaign," said Coach Creative Director, Stuart Vevers. "He has a uniquely tongue-in-cheek approach and I knew he could capture the warm, intimate and playful point of view that celebrates the special qualities of our Pillow Tabby bag."

We know what you’re thinking. How on earth are you going to style them? Well, stress no more ladies, we put them to the test and styled them in true Remix fashion. From its Taffy Pinks to Candy Oranges, we're here to inspire you.

Editor Amber styled her Taffy Pillow Tabby with a matching pink mini. Going for a business-chic look, she topped it off with a classic black blazer - the perfect look to transition from important meetings to post-work drinks.

In an all-black look, Deputy Editor Erin tested out the Black Pillow Tabby. Not usually one to wear a shoulder bag, but this time around, the Pillow Tabby has won her over. Can we blame her? It’s a pillow you can take with you anywhere.

Digital Content Producer Jiwoo finished off her look with this Ivory number in contrast with her checkered blazer giving a soft touch. The perfect companion to look put together or even pair it with a simple white tee with blue jeans - we love anything that’s versatile.

The one colour we thought would be difficult to pair, but boy, we were wrong. Editorial Assistant Portia perfectly paired the Candy Orange Pillow Tabby to add a pop of colour to her fit. You know what they say, orange is the new black?

Not often will you see Assistant Brand Manager Cameo sporting the colour grey, however, managed to pull an outfit together, her tip? Grey on grey works. Cameo matched her Granite Pillow Tabby with a charcoal full-length dress.
