Remix styles Vans’ most iconic silhouettes

As we all know fashion trends come and go, some best left in the past and some solidifying themselves as stylistic must-haves for many more years to come. One brand that has never lost its touch is streetwear and skatewear giant Vans.

As lovers of all things fashion, we called upon our certified office sneakerheads Orion and Monique to style the Vans Sk8- Hi and Authentic sneakers for a day of errand running, content creating and office living.

Deputy Editor Orion in the Sk8-Hi’s

Introduced back in 1978 as Style 38, the now named Sk8-Hi silhouette was one of the world’s most innovative sneaker designs to date, taking skateboarding functionality to all new heights. The high-top style was designed to work with skateboarders’ needs, shielding ankles from countless wacks and falls.

“Although not much of a skateboarder (at all) I love the high-top style of the Sk8-Hi’s. They’re so comfortable and look great with any outfit as the clean black and white lines give off a more elevated look.”

Content and Marketing Assistant Mon in the Authentic’s

Dating way back to the brand’s first foray into footwear the Authentics are an origin story like no other. Formally introduced into the market as the Vans #44 Deck Shoe, they quickly rose to fame, adorned worldwide as the must-have skate shoe.

“Being someone who pairs every outfit with a pair of sneakers, the Vans Authentics are definitely a go-to! Both comfortable and versatile, you really can’t go wrong with a classic black and white shoe - perfect for any fit.”
