Remix Runway Review: Prada Fall/Winter 2023

The iconic fashion duo have done it again! Miuccia Prada and Raf Simons took to the runway last week, showcasing Prada’s Fall/Winter 2023 collection and it’s safe to say we’re head over perfectly-pointed kitten heels for it.

Inspired by the idea of beauty and how it is not determined by an aesthetic, but by care and love, each garment rediscovers the traditional idea of beauty.

Tailored uniform pieces represent responsibility, wedding dresses are reimagined into everyday statement wear symbolising love, and skirts and sweaters tie the collection together, blurring the lines between occasionwear and daily wardrobe-essentials.

A Prada show wouldn’t be a Prada show without a bold collar. Now coined as one of the brand's most iconic statements and previously adorned on the Men's F/W 23 runway last month. Oversized pointed collars are seen accompanied with large lapels in forest green and can be seen popping out of open-necked sweaters and undone blazers. Classic woollen pea coats and crisp white shirts are also thrown into the collar mix, perfectly contributing to the easy-to-wear nature of the collection.

Never shy of texture or colour, this collection is heroed by pastel pink suedes, fiery red leather, knitted woollens and floral embellishments.
