NZFW Riddle Me This

By Flora Cheng Revolving around the concept of creativity and innovation, RIDDLE ME THIS presented their Autumn/Winter 2013 collection entitled 'By B.B. Bang:' the mark left by the creator after he/she has signed off on creating the world.' Opening to an electric soundtrack, the mood was set for a collection with a 90s/sci-fi feel. Models had sleek straight locks with pink, green and purple colour streaked through, and sunnies with a Gus Van Sant's 'Last Days' king of vibe. The collection featured strong dresses, organza, printed cotton, pastel wool blends and printed sheer. This was contrasted with fishnet mesh, coloured denim, houndstooth check, metallics and Garden of Eden inspired screen prints. Diamond and triangle shapes were also a feature throughout the collection, appearing as triangle cutouts on collars, diamond cutouts on sleeves, centre fronts and diamond shaped finishing. A favourite piece from the collection was 'The Forever Dress', with double splits at the front not only creating the triangular shape, but also mixing different textures together with stunning panelling work, very cool.
