NZFW Juliette Hogan

By Steven Fernandez. Juliette Hogan is a brand constantly moving forward and their Winter 2013 collection, aptly named ‘Don’t Look Back’, demonstrated this vision at day two of NZFW. Breaking away from the mould of previous seasons, while maintaining the demure sophistication core to the label, Juliette Hogan wowed audiences in her seventh consecutive showcase. A neutral colour palette inspired by the autumn months maintained the gentle and delicate touch in the smooth silhouettes, simple shapes and soft lace throughout the collection. Occasional injections of bold colour, quirky print combinations and sequined fabrics added flare without disrupting the underlying classic look. The seamless incorporation of draping silk, fine merino and cashmere was graceful in a collection as strong as it was sleek. Nowhere was the spirit of the collection more evident than in the show’s final piece, the Alera, a stunning full-length dress as simple as it was elegant. A REMIX favourite!
