NZFW Coop

By Steven Fernandez. As the kick-up-your-heels offshoot to Trelise Cooper, Coop brought with full-force an array of bold and brilliant graphic prints to New Zealand Fashion Week. Coop’s Winter 2013 collection drew on the much-loved pattern-on-pattern trend of the moment with prints both fun and edgy. Inspired by pop culture and exuberant vegetation, these prints offered a bold and floral flare. Pattern faves included a hot pink shell print and green venus flytrap - fashion with a bite! Our editor Tina Moore was raving about the gold shirt-suit over post-show beverages! Emerald green, acid yellow, cobalt blue and neon pink were incorporated into delicately detailed patterns with rich golds, black and purple to continue the intensity that has become synonymous with Coop. Even the more demure garments with neural colours were adorned in beautiful embossing and zip detailing to ensure every part of the design had interesting features. The REMIX team particularly loved the strong structure of the collection, especially in the boxy coats!
