Meghan Markle's best Audrey Hepburn looks
Meghan Markle has very quickly become our newest style icon. From her iconic Givenchy wedding dress, to her Emilia Wickstead timeless black dress, the Duchess of Sussex has entered her new life in royal style. With an abundance of royal engagements of late, the world's fashion-eye has been fixated on Meghan's next look, many of which include our favourite Audrey Hepburn-inspired neckline. This timeless shape is also known as the Boatneck Neckline, and has quickly become the newest Duchess' signature style. Take a look at a number of our favourite of Meghan's boatneck ensembles from her first few months as royalty:
1. The Givenchy Bridal Gown
We couldn't help but put Meghan Markle's one-of-a-kind Givenchy wedding dress at the very top of our list. The bridal gown was designed by the fashion House's first female artistic director, Clare Waight Keller. Elegant, classic and refined, this dress will no doubt find itself replicated the world over, and remembered indefinitely. With the traditional neckline and carefully constructed bodice, Meghan Markle was a vision of timeless beauty as she gracefully carried the dress that had been laboured over for months on end.
2. Bespoke Dior
While attending the Royal Air Force centenary celebration, Meghan stepped out in a dress that would have been just as much at home on the New York streets of Breakfast at Tiffany's, as it was on the balcony of Buckingham Palace. Markle's elegant bespoke Dior dress showed off the Duchess' most stylish sensibilities.
3. The Bright Brandon Maxwell
At the Commonwealth Youth Challenge reception, Meghan showed that she's not afraid of a splash of colour. Her sunshine yellow Brandon Maxwell dress couldn't help but catch the eye of the colour-obsessed among us, as she embraced the sunny season.
4. The Ralph Lauren Christening Piece
Aunt Meghan looked flawless in her Ralph Lauren olive dress, while celebrating the christening of baby Prince Louis; all the while again sporting the Boatneck neckline.
5. Pretty in Pink, and Prada!
Channelling her inner Rachel Zane, Meghan took us all back to the kind of outfits her beloved character would once sport. This blush, custom made Prada two-piece featured the neckline we all love and while understated, showed everyone that Meghan doesn't need over-the-top to stand out from the crowd.
6. The Caroline Herrera Trooping Debut
Blush pink seems to be a favourite of the Duchess'. Mrs Markle made her Trooping the Colour debut in a Caroline Herrera dress, fitted with an off-the-shoulder line and a beaming smile.
