Happy birthday to Lee! Latest campaign video celebrates 125 years of quality denim
If you think you know your stuff at 25, imagine how much you’d know at 125! The legends behind Lee jeans are celebrating this immensely impressive milestone, blowing the candles out on 125 years of providing quality denim.
Founded in 1889 in Kansas, Lee was the brainchild of creator Henry David Lee. Having founded a fine food business, which provided thousands of jobs throughout Middle America, Henry David Lee thought it made sense that he appropriately dress his workers.
Those first overalls, jackets and jeans were the beginning of Lee, one of today’s most internationally recognized denim brands.
Lee has been in Australasia since 1973, with Lee jeans making their way not only onto your butts, but also into your everyday life. Lee is always there, ready to work, play and, most importantly, party.
To celebrate this 125 year milestone, analogue photographer Cara Stricker collaborated with Lee to create a campaign that represents the brand and latest Autumn/Winter ’14 collection and using some of the blooper shots she created a ‘behind the scenes’ video. Check it out here.
The new collection also introduces the new Lee Z-Series for guys, with Z-One, Z-Two and Z-Three fits. Zip fly, tapered hem and all worn with that low rise look we’re loving at the moment.
