Festivals are back and you’re in for a big few months. From Diplo at Daydreams to Phoebe Bridgers and Haim at Laneway, we’ve collated the ultimate festival roadmap to ensure your kiwi summer is spent exactly how it should be… 

RHYTHM AND ALPS 

29th to 31st of December, 2022

The three-day festival welcomes 10,000 partygoers, and more than 6,000 campers to party in the beautiful Cardrona Valley, alongside the iconic Cardrona River to welcome in the New Year. The nationally-renowned Wanaka festival has reigned as the best New Years’ party in the South Island for 12 years, and this lineup has only adhered to their championing streak. With an incredible and diverse 40-act announcement, there’s no doubt that festival goers will not want to miss this.

BAY DREAMS 

5th of January 2023

After Christmas and New Year, it’s only natural to want to keep the party going, and that's what Bay Dreams does best. LANEWAY 

30th of January 2023

One of the most coveted festivals of the season, Laneway is back after a nearly 3-year hiatus, boasting a blockbuster lineup including Phoebe Bridges, Haim, Joji, Fred Again and Finneas just to name a few. Laneway ‘23 is set to be bigger and better than ever now situated at Auckland’s iconic Western Springs Stadium, after an unprecedented 90-minute sell-out for the original Albert Park location. With many of the headliners making their debut in New Zealand, this summer festy is coined to be an unforgettable experience with 30 international acts across multiple stages, epic food trucks and impeccable vibes all around. 

FIELDS FESTIVAL 

4th of March 2023

New Zealand’s ultimate fashion, lifestyle and house music event is back for another year and Remix invites you to join us as we celebrate in VIP style. Come March 4th Ellerslie Racecourse will be transformed into a garden oasis boasting an epic lineup of international and local house and EDM artists. 

121 FESTIVAL 

10th to 13th of March 2023

Queue 121 Festival; The six-stage festival is held at the picturesque Tauherenikau Racecourse in the stunning South Wairarapa, boasting over 40 international and local artists, with genres ranging from house to techno, jazz to roots, 121 Festival has a place for anybody and everybody.

WOMAD

17th to 19th of March, 2023

Being one of the longest-running and best-established cultural festivals, the WOMAD Festival, 2023, is the best way to combat the party withdrawal and to keep the party going. WOMAD NZ 2023 will be taking over Taranaki next March for three incredible days of music, arts, and dance. 2023 will also mark its 20th anniversary, so in true WOMAD style, they will be putting on one of the biggest festivals of the year at the award-winning Bowl of Brooklands in Brooklands Park, New Plymouth. Situated in a natural amphitheatre overlooking the lake, the iconic Bowl stage will help you celebrate the new year in pure bliss. 

SYNTHONY 

1st of April 2023
