SOUL Bar’s new New York-inspired menu is our favourite office getaway.

To celebrate the exciting launch of SOUL Bar’s new “A Taste of the Big Apple” menu, the Remix team had the pleasure of tasting Week 1’s offerings, and they were nothing short of extraordinary.

We started off our culinary adventure with an array of enticing entrée options. Our top pick was the chargrilled flatbread topped with comté cheese, Cantabrian anchovies, and onion jam – a harmonious blend of flavours that left us wanting more. For those seeking a lighter start, the Waldorf salad was a table favourite. Its refreshing combination of celery, walnut, apple, and Craggy Range farmhouse Danbo was the perfect starter.

As we moved on to the main courses, the juicy steak frites, served with maître d’hôtel butter and cooked to a perfect medium-rare, stole the show. The accompanying fries, paired with just the right amount of sauce, were the perfect complement. Another standout was the chicken Dijonnaise, elegantly grilled and accompanied by a mustard cream and comté sauce – a lighter yet equally satisfying option.

To tie it all together, we indulged in the French apple cake with vanilla bean ice cream.

Lunching at SOUL Bar was the perfect midweek getaway. It provided a delightful escape from the office and served as the ideal brainstorming venue for planning our next exciting issue!
