The Met Gala 2017 is here!

The first Monday in May is always decorated with a thick pink marker and too many love hearts to count. The reason why? This date represents one of the most celebrated affairs on the events calendar - the Met Gala.

Every year we're glued to our screens as we pour over the live red carpet stream from New York's Metropolitan Museum of Art. Today will be no different. 

All manner of celebrities, designers, models and VIPs will be out to play, to celebrate the Costume Institute's newest exhibition, Rei Kawakubo/Comme des Garçons: Art of In-Between.

With a theme as unexpected as her designs, we're predicting this year's red carpet will present some truly out-of-the-box fashion, with some celebrities virtually unrecognisable as they interpret the avant-garde dress code. 

This year's co-chairs include fashion maven Anna Wintour, pop princess Katy Perry, music mogul Pharrell Williams, and power couple Tom Brady and Gisele Bündchen, who will take the red carpet before anyone else.
