One of the most controversial artists of our time, Banksy, is bringing his new Exhibition to Auckland from January 5 - February 6, 2018.
Well-known for his strong anti-war, anti-establishment take on urban art, Banksy's work is particularly appealing to the socially aware. While his identity is unknown, his strong graphic style sets him apart from any other modern artist of our time.
After already debuting this exhibition to Melbourne, Amsterdam, Istanbul and Tel Aviv, this collection of 80 original pieces are about to make their way to Auckland's Aotea Square. Bringing this high profile collection to our shores is beneficial for the city's reputation for art and culture as well as our resident art and social justice enthusiasts.
The exhibition, curated by Banksy's former manager, Steve Lazarides, includes iconic paintings such as "Girl With a Balloon," and "Laugh Now." These artworks are definitely not to be missed so keep your eyes out for more details closer to January.
