How does it feel that your name has become world-renowned in the beauty industry?

It is humbling to see my name on store shelves as part of the brand we’ve built. It’s now a name that doesn’t just represent me but the team of people behind it who have put their hearts and souls into developing our truly unique, best-in-class products and service. We’re so proud as a business of all we’ve accomplished in our four years in market and really excited for what’s still to come in making a transformational impact in the beauty industry.

How and when did your dream become a tangible reality as a business? It felt very real when we got our first major international department store when the business was six months old. From there our growth moved very quickly and it really set in that our products and business model resonated with customers and that this was a business that could truly make an impact.

Who inspired you to become a Dreamer?

My parents– they always taught me that absolutely anything was possible if I put my mind to it, worked hard and believed in myself. Despite coming from a small town in New Zealand, I never felt that there were limitations put around me from my parents. I always got a sense from them that I could, and did, have the right to think big. They always encouraged this independent spirit in me.

If you could only take one beauty product to a deserted island, what would it be?

Skin Reset. It is the most remarkable and magical product, and symbolic of so much hard work, perseverance, proving the impossible possible, thinking differently and believing in myself. It was the first product we launched and with it we proved the altitude of natural, luxury and efficacy was possible. The testing and science behind this product prove that the way we formulate, opposite to the rest of the skincare industry, is defining a new level of performance from skincare.

This year you released the incredible Vitale Elixir (BIG fan), what else is coming up for Emma Lewisham over the next year?

Thank you! This product has been such an incredible success, it sold out across the UK, MECCA in New Zealand and Australia, and was selected as one of MECCA’s most innovative product launches in the last year, beating out some of the most iconic brands in the world. I’m incredibly proud of what as a New Zealand company we have been able to achieve globally. We have a product that has been eight years in the making launching early next year, which our customers have been asking us for.

If you could dream of a better future, what would that look like?

One where businesses take ownership for what they bring into the world, I believe business has a significant role to play in helping solve some of the world’s problems. One where there is a lot more empathy, kindness and grace towards people and that everyone is treated with respect and given equal opportunities and rights.
