Head to Britomart this weekend & be a part of the Heineken Light Club

Words by Daisy Conroy-Botica Heineken is at the forefront of premium beer in New Zealand and as of today (3rd of September) they’re launching Heineken Light into the kiwi market. Heineken Light is the first 2.5% light beer by the brand but don’t worry, it will still have the same refreshing flavour that we come to expect from Heineken, you just won’t feel so guilty after you’ve had a couple!

To celebrate the launch, Heineken is putting on a bit of an event down at Britomart’s Takutai Square.

The Heineken Light Club - a giant mirrior cube - will be at Britomart from the 3rd to the 6th of September. The installation is a collaboration between Heineken and the lighting art and design collective, SquidSoup. Visitors can go inside the giant mirror cube and encounter a sound and lighting experience like never before. Moving through the space you will see how the lights and music interact with you and your Heineken bottle. Similar installments have been present at Glastonbury and the Sundance Film Festival but the Heineken Light Club is special to New Zealand. The sounds portion of the experience is created by our very own Sweet Mix Kids, with unreleased tracks and mixes created specifically for the Light Club. Bring your mates along this week to have a cheeky Heineken Light and check out the one off installation in Takutai Square whilst you’re there. If you want to be one of the first to check the Heineken Light Club out, we're giving away five double passes over on our Instagram.
