Fit for the weekend? Try this epic partner workout with Horleys!

Friday. For some, it equals swapping high heels for sneakers, indulging in long lunches that start your weekend early, or mentally checking out by lunchtime.

For us at Remix HQ (and everyone who understands the world of publishing, in fact), Friday can often be our busiest day of the week, as we crank out as much content as possible before bottles start poppin’ come 5pm.

The world of publishing (as wonderful as it is) can induce periods of immense stress, with deadlines looming almost daily. And the best way to release our stress? Exercise, obvs.

Steven and I have committed to working out together once a week, to not only keep our stress levels at bay, but to get our bods beach ready! Working out with a buddy helps to hold you accountable, and gives us some time to blow off some steam, before we battle out the final few hours of work before the weekend celebrations kick off! Yaaas!

Every Friday, Steven and I will be heading down to Ponsonby’s Western Park for a bit of a goss and a serious sweat sesh. About 20 minutes before we head out, we'll fuel up with our HORLEYS HAVOC to keep all cylinders firing throughout our session! The pre-workout formula is the perfect midday pick-me-up, and means our muscles will be working hard from woah to go!

Power walk back to the office

By the time we’ve finished, we’re both ravenous. All that bouncing around has built our appetites, so we both keep our desks stocked with grab-and-go, high protein HORLEYS snacks.

Later in the day, we’ve been whipping up this epic smoothie to help us refocus mid-afternoon. Blueberries and spinach both work to combat stress, making this perfect to smash out during your busy work day.   • ½ cup ice
  • ½ cup frozen blueberries
  • 1 small handful washed baby spinach
  • ½ cup almond milk (or milk of your choice)

Place all ingredients in a blender and blend on high until the desired consistency, adding more milk to thin the shake out, or more ice to make it thicker.

Pour into a glass and enjoy! If you like a really smooth shake, you can strain the mixture first.
