Not only that, the boutique hotel brand, which has an artistic portfolio of only seven hotels worldwide, has named WORLD as their design partner.

The iconic Kiwi fashion brand, who are synonymous with pushing the boundaries with loud, yet timeless prints are showcasing that same artistic flare with Auckland’s newest hotel interiors. The hotel is sophisticated in a way that works perfectly with our forever evolving city. Occupying the historic former Reserve Bank, SO/ Auckland is on track to becoming a popular destination with locals and tourists alike.

Past ventures have seen Mr Kenzo conceputualise Takada; the creation of Bangkok’s stunning hotel with the help of Mousier Christian Lacroix; and renowned duo Viktor&Rolf casting their creative hand in Berlin. In a city which already has an incredible food scene, the on-site restaurant may be the true test. SO/ will be offering a taste of French inspiration at their restaurant Harbour Society, helmed by French chef Mar de Passorio, former owner of Michelen-starred restaurant L’Esprit de la Violette.
