The Best Red Carpet Looks at the 2019 Grammy Awards

History was made last night at the 61st Annual Grammy Awards. Female artists dominated the star-studded ceremony with the spotlight of “music’s biggest night” firmly focused on powerhouse performances by women. Cardi B became the first solo female artist to win best rap album. Best new artist went to Dua Lipa, Ariana Grande won her first Grammy and Country singer Kacey Musgraves took the night’s biggest honor, album of the year.

While the stage had its fair share of standout moments it’s the Grammys red carpet that has always stolen the show producing some of the most iconic fashion moments in history - J.Lo’s belly-button baring Versace gown and Pharrell’s meme-worthy cowboy hat to name a few. This year we were pleasantly surprised. Long gone were the nearly nude looks of the past years, and although stars ditched their wild, kooky red carpet looks for more sleek, ready-to-wear looks does not mean that they were any less awe-inducing.

We compiled a gallery of our favourite red carpet looks and while ‘Suited Up’, ‘Marvelous Metallics’, and ‘Lady in Red’ were common style statements at this year’s golden gramophone ceremony one theme reigned supreme - Power Pink.
