Summer lovin' wardrobe essentials
Imagine sticky summer air, a red dirt road winding in front of you and the wind whistling through the open car windows; Afternoons spent lounging around in the dry grass, sipping cold beer from cans. This dreamy summer freedom is exactly what Wrangler’s Spring/Summer campaign Run for Love evokes.
Featuring a young couple trading the city for the Australian outback and a sense of adventure, Run for Love perfectly portrays the rebellious nature of youth and the pull of young love.
It's not surprising then that the raw, grainy images of the campaign, by photographer Tim Swallow, inspire an old-world nostalgia with roots in the rebellious eras of the '60s and '70s. The two protagonists yearn to be free from the constraints of the status quo, reminiscent of that earlier time - but no less true today.
And for the clothing; The male is clad in distressed denim and quirky, printed tees, and his lady in '70s stretchy Mum jeans, high-waisted mini-shorts and loose fitting shirts. Run for Love effortlessly captures the ideals of youth, freedom, passion, and the perfect pair of jeans.
