Kathryn Wilson at Clicquot in the Snow
Last weekend, Queenstown was the ultimate getaway; a stunning winter wonderland with gentle snowfall covering the city streets, made even better with the fun and fashion this year's Verve Clicquot in the Snow brought with it.
The popular South Island spot made a perfect backdrop for the release of Kathryn Wilson's highly anticipated Spring/Summer '16 collection which was held aboard the iconic Earnslaw boat as part of the annual Clicquot in the Snow festival.
This year marks the fifth that Kathryn Wilson has showcased her new range at the winter celebration and vintage glamour was the theme of the night. Models were dressed in 1920's inspired tassels, pearls and curls. Guests on board danced the night away, whilst cruising around Queenstown Harbour, while models showcased the new collection, walking to some of Kathryn's favourite '90s tracks by DJ Justin Sweeney.
The new summer collection from Kathryn Wilson and Miss Wilson is a celebration of strong, powerful women reminiscing upon Madam Clicquot herself, who was a successful business woman of her time. The shoes had pastel hues of blues and pinks and soft metallics are highlighted by bright fuchsia pink in calf leather and floral textile uppers.
New Zealand celebrity Master Chef, Josh Emmett, made a surprise appearance on the catwalk, looking dashing in a Great Gatsby styled suit. At the opening party, held at Jack's Point, guests were treated to a lavish four course detestation lunch designed by the chef himself.
The Kathryn Wilson show was a definite highlight during the four-day winter festival. The Spring/summer collection will be available in-stores and online from the 22nd August.
