Iconic model Winnie Harlow fronts Converse’s Forever Chuck video

Every great story ends with one seriously epic finale. But what if this momentous climax marks the start of something entirely new?

One such epic story regeneration is the Converse Forever Chuck series – which takes a look back at the iconic Chuck Taylor throughout its 100-year history. The stories’ climax comes in the form of a two-minute long Forever Chuck video, which, in fact, marks only the beginning of Chuck Taylor’s next chapter.

Paying homage to the world’s biggest fashion hubs – London and Paris – the final instalment in the series explores Chuck Taylor’s global influence on the fashion industry.

Fronted by international model Winnie Harlow and directed by award-winning filmmaker Karim Huu Do, the video explores the dichotomy between thrift shop finds with haute couture. This form of high-low styling has taken the fashion world by storm, and the trend shows no signs of stopping.

From the cobbled Parisian streets to London’s underground, the impeccable Winnie catches up with stand-out fashion leaders in the street style scene, to deliver unprecedented access to the trend-driving fashion movements in these two centres.

The Forever Chuck series walks us through three pinnacle cultural movements in Chuck Taylor’s iconic history – films, LA hip hop, and fashion – each one summarising the daring spirit of youth to which Converse has come symbolise. The campaign recruited an all-star cast to share the epic tale - think Game of Thrones' Maisie Williams, hip hop legend Vince Staples, and Stranger Things' Millie Bobby Brown, not to mention our eternal #WCW, model Winnie Harlow.

We may not be here in another 100-years to see what the next century of Converse brings, but if the first centennial is anything to go by, we’re sure it will be nothing short of amazing.
