Like any basketball game, life throws you some highs and some lows. The new Gucci Basket Sneakers Collection inspires us to embrace the ethos of the sport and get down, dirty and dunkin’.
This funky new footwear is mainly constructed from a new innovative sustainable material called Demetra. The eco-friendly material combines animal-free raw materials primarily from sustainable, renewable and bio-based sources, offering a supple and resilient performance.
Few games have impacted street culture in the way that basketball has, which is why Gucci has designed their new collection with the game as their muse. Brightly coloured in a high-top court-style finish, the sporty sneakers are an ode to 90’s pop-culture, emulating the self-expression associated with the iconic sport.
Mixing and matching different materials and colours, the nostalgic design includes coloured soles, mesh tops and padded backs that wrap around the ankle. The lace-up sneakers feature the iconic Gucci motif in a fluorescent rubber trim, both on the tongues and outer sides of the shoes.
The sporty sneaker is gender-neutral and comes with a special identification tag. With three different colour and fabric combinations, there’s bound to be a style and size for all! Distressed and in a distinctive design, we can't wait to walk a mile in these shoes!
