Every fashionista who has seen The Devil Wears Prada knows that the most sought after fashion job is to work at Runway Magazine alongside Miranda Priestly, played by the fierce Meryl Streep. But what are the real-life fashion companies that people aspire to work at the most?

WWD conducted a social media poll which asked students from top-fashion schools all around the world which fashion companies they dream of working at. And the results? The most desired fashion job is a position at Chanel.

Coco Chanel once said 'fashion is not something that exists in dresses only. Fashion is in the sky, in the street; fashion has to do with ideas, the way we live, what is happening.' Chanel’s quote reflects a deep passion that so many people share in the industry, which may be one reason why the fashion house is a fashionistas dream.

WWD conducted two separate polls, one through their social media channels which generated over 2,000 responses and the other sent to fashion schools receiving over 400 responses. In the social media poll, the top 10 companies to work at were:

2. LVMH Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton
3. Christian Dior SE
4. Alexander Wang
5. Diane Von Furstenberg
6. Kate Spade
7. Marc Jacobs
8. H&M
9. Burberry Group plc
10. Prada SpA

The fashion students’ top picks swapped Christian Dior SE, H&M, Burberry Group and Prada with Calvin Klein, Salvatore Ferragamo SpA, Michael Kors Holdings Ltd. and Armani while Chanel and LVHM kept their top positions.
