A stitch above the rest: Mulberry opens a new store in Westfield Newmarket.
Born in 1971 with leather offcuts and a £500 investment from his mother, Roger Saul established Mulberry whilst sitting at his kitchen table. Today, Mulberry is the largest luxury leather goods maker in the United Kingdom. A global success, the brand has now unveiled a new store nestled in the heart of Newmarket’s Westfield shopping centre. To commemorate this milestone, we hosted an intimate gathering at the store. Champagne flowed, canapés were savoured, and local creatives got to work styling their favourite pieces available in-store.

This opening marks the first directly-operated Mulberry store in New Zealand, expanding the brand's global presence. Bringing to life Mulberry's British heritage and craftsmanship, the store's interiors draw inspiration from the natural tones and textures of the English countryside, organic shapes, and a playful juxtaposition of texture and colour complements heritage Mulberry Green ceramic tiles and bespoke wallpaper.

The new store carries the full range of both men’s and women’s collections, first-time visitors to the space can now discover iconic styles such as Alexa, Bayswater and Lily alongside fresh designs including the Pimlico, Lana and Clovelly. Visitors will also be able to discover Mulberry's accessories and lifestyle offering including jewellery, scarves, and small leather goods, cementing the brand's positioning as the home of gifting.

At Mulberry, sustainability lies at the heart of their ethos. As of October 2022, 100% of Mulberry’s leather is carbon neutral, achieved through offsetting with the World Land Trust and is sourced from environmentally accredited tanneries.
