See these incredible images of Japan's Cherry Blossoms

When thinking about springtime in Japan, the vibrant cherry blossom is often one of the first things that springs to mind (pun intended).

In spring tourists come in droves to Japan, the mild months being the perfect sweet spot between the long, bone-chilling winter and the humidity of summer. Fortunately, this is when the blossoms are in full bloom. It is the most popular time for visitors and the atmosphere is said to be infectious, with parks packed of spectators and supermarkets filled with blossom-flavoured snacks and drinks. 

The cherry blossom sweeps along the length of the country and the pictures that are captured are always breathtaking. Tokyo-based photographer Danilo Dungo uses drones to take the stunning photos from above, check out some of our favourite pics below and see more of his shots here.
