One for the creatives: Design a structure defining your Concept of Space and you could take home $1000

JamesWrightTarget_01e Art in Structure is a competition challenging both established and emerging designers to create a virtual structure to be showcased in NZ’s first virtual sculpture park. The brief? To create a design that defines your concept of space using only metal products that are normally hidden and intended for structural purposes. The designs will explore the connection between metals and the urban landscape with the finalists’ work being showcased in a virtual sculpture park, initially as part of metal week (1-3 September 2015) and then regionally until 15 December 2015, before being fully fabricated and auctioned for the Ronald MacDonald House charities. There are two entry categories -one for Professional designers and one for Emerging Designers and finalists will be chosen by professional artist and sculptor, James Wright. Each category includes a prize for 1st place of $1000, and a runner up prize of $500.

There’s no time to muck around as the competition closes at 5pm on Saturday - August 15.
