You can't selfie here: Mumbai the first city to introduce 'no selfie' zones

This seemingly harmless act of narcissism caused 27 deaths last year, nearly half of these occurring in India alone. To combat this the Mumbai police have decided to create 'no selfie' zones in which it will be illegal to take that sneaky snap of yourself. Deputy commissioner Dhananjay Kulkarni told the AFP news agency, "We have decided to identify 16 spots where taking selfies can be dangerous, but we may add more." Mumbai is India's most populated city and the selfie ban will include beaches, tourist attractions, and other popular selfie spots. To enforce the ban police will be enlisting the help of lifeguards as well as placing signs in the dangerous areas. It's looking like our days of selfie-freedom may be numbered...
