A Tribute to Prince
The world of music has already spent the beginning of 2016 in mourning for the late David Bowie and now another icon has passed. Today (April 21st 2016, USA time) legendary musician and actor Prince was announced dead at age 57.
Police officers responded to a medical call and when they arrived, they found the star unresponsive in an elevator. The first responders attempted CPR but were unsuccessful and Prince was pronounced deceased.
Over the past 4 decades, Prince became an icon of artistry and embraced individuality and controversy. He challenged musical ideals in his album Purple Rain and Sign “O” the Times. He was a master of all talents, singing, performing and writing nearly all of his songs at the beginning of his career. Four of his albums were on the Billboard 200 and the RIAA awarded 20 of his LPs with gold, platinum and multiplatinum plaques.
