Four of the best artists right now that we'll have on repeat all summer

Summer is officially here, ushering in our favourite time to jam the tunes, sip on sweet somethings, and lounge in the warmth of the sunshine. Remix has curated our playlist for the season, featuring beats from the rising Australian pop trio Blusher, the defining artist of the moment Charli xcx, the transcendent sounds of FKA twigs, and the latest bop from the duo, BL3SS. We’re all about setting the mood for the season ahead.

BL3SS
BL3SS, the electrifying DJ and production duo from London, has reignited the dancefloor with their latest single, ‘Craving 4 U’ (feat. bbyclose). Following the staggering success of their gold-certified hit ‘Kisses’, which rocketed to Fifth Place on the UK charts and held a spot in the Top 10 for an impressive 11 weeks, BL3SS is primed to reclaim their place at the forefront of the club-dance music scene. With a sound that evolves yet remains infectiously groovy, ‘Craving 4 U’ (feat. bbyclose) showcases a fresh speed garage influence yet retains the catchy hook their listeners love.

Blusher
Rising Australian pop trio Blusher returns with their latest single, ‘Somebody New’, a track pulsing with synths, beats, and a euphoric chorus that’s seriously catchy. Closing out an exciting year as part of Spotify’s RADAR programme, this tune captures the thrill of fresh starts and the familiar cycle of love, heartbreak, and friendship. “It’s our fun, flirty mantra,” says Blusher. “From breakups to rebounds and first kisses on the dancefloor, it’s a love song to friends who are with you every step of the way.” Blusher’s sound combines unfiltered lyrics with dreamy melodies and deep basslines, striking an intricate balance between late-night introspection and full-on club energy.

Charli xcx
It’s officially our turn in the Southern Hemisphere to revel in a brat-fueled summer. With Charli xcx headlining Australia and New Zealand’s Laneway Festival in February 2025, it’s time to master those Apple dance moves as she lights up our summer in neon green. In June, Charli dropped her game-changing album BRAT, a pop revolution that sparked global chaos and completely reaffirmed our love for pop. From her pop-up PARTYGIRL DJ sets and viral internet moments to surprise collaborations with stars like Billie Eilish and Lorde, Charli xcx has created a true cultural wave around the brat spirit. Now, she’s struck again with her latest, ‘Brat and it’s completely different but also still brat’, a reimagined album featuring icons like The 1975 and Caroline Polachek.

FKA twigs
The groundbreaking GRAMMY-nominated multi-disciplinary artist FKA twigs will once again enchant listeners with her highly anticipated third studio album, ‘EUSEXUA.’ This collection immerses listeners in her hauntingly beautiful sound, embodying a transcendent state of being ignited by art, music, intimacy, and the magic of human connection. Drawing from her transformative experiences in Prague’s underground techno scene, this album invites listeners to explore the richness of being alive. Despite a brief hiatus between projects, FKA twigs has been a whirlwind of creativity. After making a striking entrance at Vogue World 2024 in Paris and taking on a major role in the much-anticipated gothic film, The Crow, twigs spotlights her passion for creative arts this season.
