Dusk 'til dawn: We try out the Smashbox 24 Hour Photo Finish Shadow Primer

I have to admit I was very late to the eye shadow primer party. In fact, I thought it was a con. I could understand why we needed primer for our skin – to cover blemishes, to smooth out uneven skin tones and get it ready for the war paint to go on top nice and smooth.
But eye shadow primer? Why would I need that?
The Smashbox 24 Hour Photo Finish Shadow Primer really blew my expectations out of the water. Putting on your eye shadow at 7.30am and coming home at 6.30pm to find it still on was shocking enough, but it was the quality that was impressive. There was no fading, no creasing, no smudging. It really looked like the same soft smoky brown eye I had applied 11 hours earlier.
Not only does Smashbox 24 Hour Photo Finish Shadow Primer provide longevity for the eye shadow, but it’s also stopped me having to redo my makeup for after work drinkies. Yep – I can do ONE lot of makeup at 7.30am and it stays on really until 7.30am the next day.
