This is one Fashion Month beauty trend that’s here to stay

All eyes are cast to the runways this month, as global Fashion Weeks make their way from London, to Milan, then over to Paris.

While we’re grateful for all the new season fashion inspiration sure to be hanging in our closets sometime soon (much to the dismay of our wallets), we’re pouring over every beauty look so artfully crafted between designer and makeup artist.

If there’s one beauty trend that has proven its timelessness year after year, it’s the bold red lip.

As seen on the Prada Resort 2018 runway, discover how to recreate this timeless beauty look using a range of stunning products from our friends at Revlon.

THE LOOK: ‘Go bold’ was the message we received while pouring over Prada’s Resort 2018 show, especially when it comes to lips. Impeccably painted with matte crimson pigment, lips stole the spotlight.  

THE KIT:

Step 1: Start by applying Revlon Colorstay Makeup in Natural Beige. The flawless, demi-matte coverage boasts SPF protection, and comes in 18 shades.

Step 2: Next, apply Revlon Colorstay Crème Eyeshadow in Crème Brulee over your lids – the sheer wash of colour is subtle enough to not detract from your bold lip.

Step 3: Brush brows upwards, and use Revlon Colorstay Brow Pencil in Soft Brown to create short, feathered strokes.

Step 4: To avoid looking completely washed out, use Revlon Powder Blush in Dare To Bare on the apples of cheeks.   

Step 5: And the piece de resistance? After applying lip liner in the same shade, use the tip of the Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick in Fire & Ice to follow your lip line down towards the crease of your mouth. Smack your lips together and follow the same line around your bottom lip.

BEAUTY ED’S TIP: Ensure your lips are in prime condition before applying your lipstick. Apply a Revlon Kiss Balm while you do your base, to give your lips a hydration hit before layering on lipstick.
