Unsurprisingly, a brand that invites women to express the multiple facets of their femininity through the beautiful garments they design has also created the perfect lip product… Dior Addict has become the icon of high-shine lipstick. Initially designed as a fashion accessory and reinvented in 2022 by Peter Philips, Creative and Image Director for Dior Makeup.
This season sees a new chapter in the Dior Addict story. Inspired by the fashion houses' creations, Dior is releasing five new high-shine shades in a new fashion lipstick wardrobe. Peter Philips reinterprets pastels by creating five fresh shades that reveal a pop of intense pigment. In this colourful universe infused with the Dior Addict shine, the coral 546 Dolce Vita dresses lips in a sunny hue. The luminous pink 362 Rose Bonheur is accentuated by a subtle peach tone. 391 Dior Lilac adds a fresh touch of subtle pinkish lilac, while this line-up of vibrant colours is intensified by 481 Désir, a raspberry pink, and 616 Nude Mitzah, a natural brown. Each new shade is encased in the iconic black lacquer lipstick compact and features three limited edition cases inspired by the most on-trend designs of the house. These new colours were created to complement a variety of looks and sit alongside Dior Addict’s 40 other complementary shades.
THE FORMULA
Born from a technical collaboration by the Dior laboratories, Dior Addict is the first Dior shine lipstick created with a base of 90% natural-origin ingredients and enriched with floral care. Its formula provides six hours of wear and optimum pigment distribution for an even makeup result and intense colour. A perfect balance of shine and lip care, the Dior Addict formula provides lips with 24 hours of hydration by combining jasmine wax with essential fatty acids that comfort and maintain hydration, along with plum oil that contributes to the nourishing effect. The oils used in this new range were specifically selected for how they interact with light, to provide extreme shine. One glide of the product over the lips enables the colour to melt immediately upon contact leaving a light and comfortable film that feels weightless and makes you look and feel like the best version of yourself.
