M.A.C teases new #AaliyahForMAC collection

M.A.C cosmetics are set to release a special collection that is inspired by the late R&B personality Aaliyah. The beauty giant gave fans a sneak peek into the much-anticipated products on their social media. 

#AaliyahForMAC was originally inspired by fans of the singer, who proposed a collection be created in her honour. A petition went viral achieving support from not only fans but Aaliyah’s loved ones, including her brother and Missy Elliot. 

As beauty lovers await the release, M.A.C teased two product pictures on their social media. We got a glimpse of a brown-hued lipstick and a sultry eyeshadow palette, we’re also loving the packaging - metallic burgundy is fierce. 

Aaliyah sadly passed away in 2001 after a private plane carrying her and her video crew crashed, not long after takeoff from the Bahamas where she was working on a new music video. Even after her tragic passing, the legacy of the '90s star continues to inspire.
