our review pia boutique at new zealand fashion week

Reviewed by Flora Cheng. A few weeks back we interviewed designer Pia Naera of PIA Boutique about her first solo show at New Zealand Fashion Week 2013. She told us they planned to bring the goods and team Remix was front row centre at their show on Thursday 5th September to see for ourselves. The show started with a live performance by Esther Stephens as electric and catchy as their Spring / Summer 2014 Collection. The talented team behind PIA Boutique showcased a stunning fresh collection of sheer fabrics, prints and frills in tropical colours of aqua, pinks, tangerines and corals perfect for the girly-girl looking to stand out. Each piece included Pia’s signature use of prints. Her dresses with frilled edging came down the runway in a variety of shapes and styles. However, the star of the show was the amazing flowing maxi dress in a blue and white print which closed the presentation. The model wearing that dress was the envy of every young girl in the Shed 2 at the Viaduct Events Centre! Not only was the Spring/Summer 2014 Collection PIA Boutique’s biggest collection to date, but it was also their strongest and most beautiful. Although Pia Naera clearly wanted to try her hand at something a bit different and develop the look of her rapidly-growing brand, the latest collection still maintained the signature bold, beautiful, fun and feminine vibe present in all their pieces. Check out the photos below. Remember we still have a PIA Boutique dress up for grabs to give away to one lucky Remix readers!  Click here to enter the draw or head over to their online store to check out the current season.
