Yu Mei presents 'Fine China' at New Zealand Fashion Week

Wellington based leather label Yu Mei and their new collection Fine China stole the show at this year’s New Zealand Fashion Week.

On Wednesday morning, the brand's designer Jessie Wong revealed her fourth collection, inspired by her recent visit to Hong Kong, where she found herself in the middle of a large, busy market. The idea behind Fine China’s decadent straps and buckles come from the buildings, colours, shapes Jessie stumbled across while in the city that never sleeps.

For her Fashion Week presentation, Jessie not only showcased the brand's stunning new collection, she also gave attendees a behind the scenes peek at Yu Mei's handmade process by making a 'Braidy' bag from scratch!

To get into the mood, Yu Mei treated their guests to a feats of dumplings, dim sums and green tea.

First introduced in March 2015, Yu Mei continues to create luxury items that hold a relaxed vibe and will journey all seasons with you. We can't wait to see what's next for this incredible Kiwi label.
